Please let us introduce Raul Maripuu, Mekanex’s nature and sports-loving Sales Engineer responsible for our Tallinn office and for the sales in the Baltics.
What are your work tasks at Mekanex?
My job responsibilities include taking care of customers and organizing the sales of the Mekanex product portfolio in the Baltic countries: Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania. The sales office is located in Tallinn, Estonia.
What kind of experiences do you have in the past, what have you worked on? What fields, what companies, what products?
I am a mechanical engineer by education. I was interested in mechanical engineering and product development before I started at the university. Before joining Mekanex, I have worked in forestry-related companies and at the university.
What attracts you most about this job?
The most interesting things about this job are the client projects, which are sometimes very challenging. I also like the range of products from the suppliers – seeing the constant development of the products.
What do you like to do in your spare time?
In my spare time, most of my time is spent with my family and hobby gardening, but in the early morning hours of the weekends I am on the forest trails, either by mountain bike or on skis. Sport in the open air.
What is your favorite travel destination? Why?
The best place for relaxing and vacation is Estonia for me. There are enough places here to spend time stress-free. Of other countries, I recommend going to the USA. The nature and landscape there are so full of contrasts.
What is your unexpected talent?
I think I’m a good gardener, I know this area quite well.
